During his career at the SAS Institute (Tervuren), Christophe held two main positions: Training Consultant for 4 years and Analytical Consultant for 4 years. In the first role, he trained employees, students, and PhD candidates in nearly all of SAS's software and programming languages. He is a key reference for many SAS users in the fields of Business Intelligence, Data Integration, Analytics, and Programming.

In the second role, he was appointed to the Analytical Department, where he was responsible for the SAS Anti-Money Laundering solution across Europe. He was not only a consultant but also actively participated in pre-sales activities, solution development, recommendations, and training.

CAMS-certified and a data mining expert, his business-oriented skills help him understand and solve his clients' challenges.

Christophe left SAS as a Senior Analytical Consultant in 2015 and created BeOptimized SRL.

Besides his consultancy activities Christophe was also Guest Lecturer at UCLouvain from 2019 to 2025. At the Louvain School of Statistics, Biostatistics and Actuarial Sciences (LSBA) Christophe was holder of the course LDATS2370: Data Management II : SAS ADVANCED PROGRAMMING.

This course had two objectives: prepare the students for the SAS Advanced certification and require them to practice their SAS knowledge with the latest SAS technologies.

How? The course material was the official course material of SAS SQL and SAS Macro (SAS Prog3 was briefly explained but not covered during the course). Custom course notes were prepared for the optimisation part and SAS VIYA. To reinforce their practice, students had to redo all the exercises of the course notes and complete an assignment for the Easter holidays. Finally, the exam was a practical use case (not a multiple-choice questionnaire).

For six years, Christophe taught SAS to about 140 students. However, if we also count the students who attended the course when he was a consultant at SAS, the total number reaches 350 !!!!!
